The modern world is dominated by some important things like economy, health and quality of life.

All these components of our life can be measure and as long as the longevity is growing the concerns with health and quality of life are getting bigger. Longer life sometimes has implications with the home finances and economy, the tendencies for people who live long is to have health problems and spend a great part of the home budget in medicines and treatments .

One way of control the household budget on medicines is to belong to a Prescription Savings Club.

Being part of a Club such Walgreens Prescription Savings Club the right way to be sure that you have access to discount prices to your prescriptions. For an annual fee of $10 you can have a family membership who includes everyone at the household that is part of your immediate family, including spouse, dependents and event pets. If you live alone you can be part of this club for only $5 per annum.

So, the benefits are, to have discount prices on your prescriptions, save on more than 8.000 brand names and generic medicines, and at this time, cold winter, you have access to discounts on flu shots.

For me one of the most important benefits is the discount on pet’s prescriptions.

But there are other great benefits as the bonus received by buying Walgreens brand products and other photo finishing products.

	Don’t forget to follow Walgreens on Twitter and Walgreens on Facebook to have all the information in real time.

Add a general filter to wp_unique_post_slug to allow for full customisation of the uniqueness functionality

Add filter for the args into wp_dropdown_pages() in the page attributes box; give the list_pages filter the context of the post object

Add filter so the users can select custom image sizes added by themes and plugin

Add filters for install/upgrade queries, so that unit tests installer can force creating InnoDB tables, so that we can use transactions to revert the database to its initial state after each test

Add inflation support for java.util.zip.Deflater in WP_Http_Encoding::compatible_gzinflate()

Add magic get/set/isset methods to WP_User to avoid data duplication; standardize on WP_User::ID

Add pre_ent2ncr filter

add_site_option should not update existing options, should return a boolean and should only run actions on success

Allow get_blog_option(null,…) to hit the cache for the current blog; new return values for add_blog_option, update_blog_option, delete_blog_option; don’t set the cache in those functions if add/update/delete_option failed

Deprecate media_upload_(image|audio|video|file)(), type_url_form_(image|audio|video|file)(); these now wrap wp_media_upload_handler() and wp_media_insert_url_form()

Deprecate RSS 0.92 feed and 301 it to the default feed

Fix QTags.closeAllTags(), replace ‘tb’ with ‘ed’ in quicktags,js to make it clear it is the editor instance not the toolbar, small comments quick edit fixes

Fix typos in documentation

Fix wp_update_user() so it doesn’t stomp meta fields

Force display_errors to off when WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY == false; technically a backwards incompatible change so if you want the passthrough to php.ini (which false used to provide) then use WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY === null

Harden up is_user_logged_in() against empty $current_user instances to prevent PHP Notices on XML-RPC requests

Have dbDelta() loop through tables it knows about, rather than loop through a potentially expensive and definitely unnecessary SHOW TABLES

Improve _wp_menu_output()

Improve the parsing of email addresses in wp_mail to re-support RFC2822 nameless “<address@…>” style

Introduce wp_cache_incr() and wp_cache_decr()

Introduce WP_Dependencies::get_data() method, change scripts and styles priority to follow the “natural” order in HTML, i.e. the last one wins

Introduce wp_get_db_schema() for retrieving various flavors of db schema; eliminates need to use global; allows multiple calls to wpmu_create_blog()

Introduce wp_suspend_cache_addition() to allow reduced memory usage when cache additions aren’t useful

Make check_theme_switched() run an action so plugins and themes authors can avoid losing widgets when switching themes

Optimise get_term to not query for term_id = 0 and improve the prepared query to use %d for the term_id

Remove the old root feed files, but don’t add these files to old_files to leave them on existing installs

Require show_ui rather than public for a taxonomy’s parent post type

Rework get_hidden_meta_boxes() to leverage a full WP_Screen object; prevents custom post types from having their explicitly supported meta boxes being hidden by default

Set up the post global variable in the comment feed loops so that any calls to post related template tags work correctly

Store screen help and options as static data against WP_Screen; individual screen objects no longer hold data it can’t re-generate on construction or otherwise fetch; convert_to_screen() now returns a WP_Screen object; various globals are gone; introduces WP_Screen::get_option(); allows for a formal factory to be introduced later

Support an array or comma-seperated list of excluded category IDs in get_adjacent_post()

Support for using wp_enqueue_script() and wp_enqueue_style() in the HTML body; all scripts and styles are added in the footer

Sync pomo library with the current GlotPress version

Turn delete_meta() , get_post_meta_by_id(), update_meta(), delete_post_meta_by_key() into wrappers around the Metadata API; add back compat *_postmeta actions to Metadata API

Turn is_blog_user() into a convenience wrapper around get_blogs_of_user(); fixes is_blog_user() for blog prefixes that do not contain a blog ID

Update blog last_updated time only on publish_post; both private_to_published and publish_phone are overly broad and otherwise redundant

Update jQuery to 1.7.1

Update jQuery UI to 1.8.16

Update Plupload to 1.5.1.1

Update quicktags.js (HTML editor)

Use wp_print_scripts() in install.php

Various PHPdoc updates including: for all_items, menu_name, WP_List_Table::views(), cache.php, get_option(), wpdb::prepare(), get_template_part(), esc_url(), get_meta_sql(), WP_Screen, WP_Http_Encoding::compatible_gzinflate(), zeroise(), wp_add_script_before(), wp_editor()

WP_Filesystem_*::mkdir() untrailingslash path consistently, don’t waste time attempting to create an “empty” path

Twilight is still leading, but Muppets back very well to theaters in holiday week

And the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 took advantage of the Thanksgiving holiday without too many problems to overcome the barrier of U.S.$ 200 million. By adding the box office since Wednesday (the day before the holiday) until this Sunday, the fourth film made an estimated 62.3 million. In total, the film has the sum of 221.3 million dollars just in the United States and nearly 500 million worldwide. The result in the United States, however, is still below New Moon, in the same period had 230 million in the safe.

The penultimate film in the Twilight series consumes the mortal love Bella with Edward the vampire, and the fruit of this relationship ignites a war with the wolves and the Volturi.

In second place, The Muppets showed that many people still want to see the stories of rag dolls created by Jim Henson. The film conceived by and starring Jason Segel made 42 million during the holiday. Great result for the average budget of 45 million cost, and excellent news for Disney, which bought the franchise in 2004. In the film, Walter, the biggest fan of the Muppets, is on vacation in Los Angeles along with his friends Gary (Jason Segel) and Mary (Amy Adams). When you visit the Muppet Theater, they discover the evil plan of Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to demolish the theater and stay off of the Muppets with the oil that has been discovered there. Kermit then enlists the help of his new friends to gather and Muppets do a telethon to raise $ 10 million and save the theater. The premiere takes place in Brazil this coming Friday, December 2. See the trailer.

Happy Feet 2 is still disappointing at the box office, but at least managed to hold onto the podium. With the $ 18.4 million that made this holiday is U.S.$ 43.8 million, slightly more than the 41 million it made in its original debut weekend and value that is well below the 150 million who claim to have cost to be done. In the sequel, Mano has a son, Erik, who does not like to sing and does not take very good at dancing. Erik runs away and finds a penguin that can fly, Sven. As Mano can compete with the new idol of the puppy?

Continuing with two more firsts for the family oriented, Arthur Christmas and Hugo close the top 5 of the week.

Christmas of Aardman Animation (Wallace & Gromit, Chicken Run) earned U.S.$ 17 million and took in fourth place with an average of 3,762 houses at the room. Experts believe that the market value should not be worrisome, since the issue should continue to bring people to cinemas by the end of the year. In the line of Santas, Arthur (voiced by James McAvoy) is the only one who still believes in the holiday spirit. His older brother, Steve (Hugh Laurie), heir to the sled, runs with the efficiency and discipline worldwide delivery of gifts, while Santa Claus (Jim Broadbent) is now just another in the grand scheme of distribution. Bill Nighy is the voice of Grandpa Noel, who 136 years to despise all that modernity and says Christmas in his time was much better. Sarah Smith and Barry Cook directed the film, whose script was written by Smith with Borat writer Peter Baynham.

The poster in just 1277 rooms, Hugo made an honorable fifth place with 15.4 million that made the box office, at an average of 12,000 per classroom. The film, which marks the debut of Martin Scorsese in the genre both juvenile and in 3D, follows Hugo (Asa Butterfield), a 12 year old boy who lives in a train station in Paris in the early 20th century. His father, a watchmaker who worked in a museum, dies moments after showing Hugo his latest discovery: an android, sitting at a desk with pen in hand, waiting to write an important message. The problem is that the boy can not connect to the robot, or solve the mystery. The cast is Chloe Moretz, Jude Law, Ray Winstone, Christopher Lee, Helen McCrory, Frances de la Tour, Richard Griffiths, Michael Stuhlbarg and Emily Mortimer. The adaptation of the book of the same name was scripted by John Logan (The Aviator).

Among other firsts, some have turned to the awards season, The Artist has made 210 thousand in just 4 rooms, A Dangerous Method got the best of the week with an average of 241 000 and also 4 rooms and My Week With Marilyn took 2,085 million in 244 rooms.

Animation directed by George Miller raised nearly $ 400 million at box offices around the world and still grabbed the Oscar for best animated feature film that year, beating Cars and Monster House. The natural consequence of all this would be a continuation. And here we are, five years later, seeing Happy Feet 2 (2011).

In the second film, after the death of (Brittany Murphy) has a small sapling, Erik (Ava Acres), as insecure as was his father. The high level of cuteness of the new character, present throughout the film’s release, once again can fool unsuspecting parents who take their children imagining an innocent and cute design. Happy Feet 2 has action scenes quite realistic characters who screamed loudly and other noises of avalanches and earthquakes that can strike fear in young children. And the bigger problem is that these sequences do not serve to make the story move forward.

At 100 minutes, we see the story

of a son who can not match his father and runs away with friends. A father who is a guilty conscience and will try to reconcile. The replacement of a father figure by another hero. The lessons of humility and forgiveness, and all outcomes to the problems presented above, but without a unit. It seems like the script was made from a brainstorm on ideas that came from there and went straight to the paper, without concern for the whole forming a plot that is initially more uncertain than the path of a snowflake and at the end, is more thin and bumpy than the current ozone layer – the warning of ecological time.

Parallel to all this we follow the journey of two krill, tiny shrimp species, voiced by Matt Damon and Brad Pitt in the original version. The duo, in search of evolution and meaning in life, should serve as comic relief, but falls far short of its unstated (but obvious) inspiration, the prehistoric squirrel Scratch from Ice Age. However, from the aesthetic point of view, the two characters are very important. When we follow on screen their lucubratio

ns, they fill the screen with your details digitally reproduced by minimally pixels. When trying to put their ideas into practice, the plan opens at high speed, showing the insignificance of those people close to the other animals in an interesting camera movement.

But with the constant presence of the two on stage, that leaves less room for the gallant Latin penguin Ramon (Robin Williams), who now plays on the floor to win the heart of Carmen (the misused Sofia Vergara). But the other part of Williams, the penguin guru Amoroso, is even more boring than the animation of 2006. If he was back there helped show the “bottom line”, appears here just to put the flying penguin Sven (Hank Azaria) as the new savior. So it ends up being the synthesis of the franchise, which was once visionary and leader, and now follows the other. Is there a penguin doing parkour to prove all this.
