“Since our first feature movie, Toy Story, we hide a lot of easter eggs in our productions”, says director and producer Lee Unkrich.
An article written by the journalist Jon Negroni, with a theory created by him saying that all movies produced by Pixa are, actually, only one movie. Taking advantage of the interpretation, the animation studio decided to release a video that reinforces the “conspiracy”. The material shows a compilation of scenes from Toy Story, Up, Monsters Inc., Cars and Ratatouille, with connections between the movies that may have gone unnoticed by many viewers.
“Since our first feature movie, Toy Story, we hide a lot of easter eggs in our productions. Small things, like a ball, a Pizza Planet truck […] But we also made many references to our other movies, with clues, characters , and even previews of animations to come. These Easter eggs can be hard to find, they go by fast. You really have to pay attention. So have fun and see how many you can find” says director Lee Unkrich, responsible for Toy Story 3 , early in the video. For those who are not familiar with the term “easter egg”, is used to refer to a secret or camouflaged message in movies, music, games or websites.
