The mafia movie The Iceman has a new name in the cast. Chris Evans replaces James Franco in the role of Robert “Mr. Softee” prong, the director of Richard “The Iceman” Kuklinski, played by Michael Shannon.
The film tells the true story of Richard Kuklinski, the killer’s favorite all seven crime families of Eastern United States. By its own estimate, Ice Man murdered over 200 men and prided itself on its technical variety. He was known to freeze the bodies of their victims, which hindered police investigations cover up by the time of death.
Covering his tracks was a traditional Catholic family, married and father of three, Kuklinski was seen as a good man, give summer parties for the neighborhood in New Jersey and was always generous at Christmas time. Before his crimes were discovered, his family never suspected anything. He died in prison in 2006.
David Schwimmer, Ross of Friends, also lives a killer on the payroll of Roy DeMeo mobster (Ray Liotta). The film is directed by Ariel Vromen Israel, who co-wrote the script with Morgan Land, based on the biography of Anthony Bruno The Iceman: The True Story of a Cold-Blooded Killer, and also in the documentary Jim Thebaut, The Iceman Tapes: Conversations with a Killer.
Filming takes place in 2012.
